At the Threshold: A Forest Meditation Retreat

  • Casa Portal 83 Sullivan Road Jackson, ME, 04921 United States (map)

A sacred pause and respite as we settle into early autumn.

Bring your whole self to the forest and the circle as we explore the often messy and confusing pathways of being human through non-dogmatic invitational practices of presence, time in nature, pausing, and meditation. See what is emerging in this seasonal shift, in the forest, in yourself, in the circle and in the beyond human world. Come rest in a genuinely inclusive community space that warmly welcomes and celebrates all beings and all ways of being.

Set on the private land of Casa Portal, this experience is held within forests, meadows, and quiet spaces that naturally support attention and reflection. Rooted in traditions of silent meditation and contemplative practice, the land itself becomes part of the work—offering both structure and spaciousness, solitude and shared experience.

Notice what is emerging in this seasonal shift—in the forest, in yourself, in the circle, and in the more-than-human world. Come rest in a genuinely inclusive space that welcomes all ways of being, without asking you to perform or arrive a certain way.

This forest-immersive meditation retreat weaves together facilitated circles, place-based practices, and open time to let what arises settle and unfold—both in stillness and in movement across the land.

Shared meals. Tea on the porch. The sound of wind through the trees and sheep moving across the fields.

Time alone in the forest, and time together—gathered without expectation. Conversations that unfold naturally, or not at all.

Tam and Tracy facilitate an expansive, intersectional, and intergenerational meditation circle rooted in presence, reflection, and shared inquiry.

At Casa Portal, their work is shaped by the land as much as by their guidance—bringing together meditation, nature-based awareness, and community in a way that feels grounded, accessible, and deeply human.
